Another entry for FAIC's Valentines Contest (for details, see the comments here), and this one is of the webcomic El Goonish Shive
This is one of my favorite webcomics, and I really wanted to do something EGS related for the contest. It was hard to do, I had loads of ideas that were either beyond me or could easilly have been a scene in the comic. Eventually this idea came to mind right as I was staring at the paper I drew it on. I like it.
Dan Shive's art inspired my new style of shading, so it is kinda fitting that I experimented with an alternate light source (hey, it may be for a contest, but that's no excuse for not experimenting on this, right?) and... I think it went ok, though it could have been better.
It's hard to describe El Goonish Shive, so I can only say that if shapeshifting, magic, long story arcs and comics with large archives aren't to your liking, you probably won't become a bunny.
Yes, El Goonish Shive fans are called Bunnies. As in rabbits.
