Inspired by Shizuru Fujino's (from the anime Mai/My HiME) Character song, Katakoi Enka" (note, that video has lots of spoilers for Mai HiME). Listen when you have a chance (if Youtube removes the video, just search for Katakoi Enka). It's a haunting love song, especially with that voice.
A while back I went through a majour FFIX kick, and I just happened to listen to this song. The first sung lines are, roughly translated;
I softly lay my lips on
Your moist hair, and then I close my eyes.
May I not wallow in my sorrow.
I'm entering this in a valentine's day contest, focusing on couples. Details here FAIC. FAIC stands for "Fan Artists for Integrity", though it just happens to be the gaidhlig for 'see' XD (it was a complete coincidence) which is pronounced... er... fake. The contest ends on the 15th of February 2010.
Before drawing this, I made two digitally coloured images of girls in pyjamas hugging things, and they both really helped me hone my technique. Both are on deviantART.
